AUTHORITARIANISM DEFINED

Film documentary cameraman Duane Empey posted this excerpt (see image) from a Washington Post report. I saw it during my regular morning social media perusal, and was struck by what a succinct description it is of the Trump-MAGA mindset. And I was even more struck by how evenly it matches my own experienced definition of authoritarianism.

Yes, in a nutshell, that's Trump, and that's authoritarianism. 

Basically, doing whatever you decide to do while having your morning bowel movement, then going with it until some other whim strikes your fancy, and just not giving a fuck if the whole world burns to the ground because of it.

Nobody's mentioning this anymore like they did during his first term, but it’s worth recalling that this is the same narcissistic, psychopathic felon who remains in possession of the nuclear codes.
